Title: Nothing Is Simple - WIT
Rating: M
Summary: What if all had gone to plan? The Couslands were not murdered, Elissa had gotten married, and there was no Blight. Instead, there is an Orlesian Empress trying to get a foothold in Ferelden, nobles jockeying for power, murmurs of discontent among mages and elves alike, and the distinct lack of an heir to the royal throne.
I'm not posting any of my old work on here, mainly because they're several years old, some are unfinished (and will likely never be finished) and frankly, all are embarassing in quality. But if anyone feels like reading something for a good laugh, you'll find them on my profile on Fanfiction.net. There is a mixture of Harry Potter and Commander-In-Chief fanfiction on there.
I'm a writer by nature, which means I don't stop writing. When I'm not physically writing, I'm writing in my head. I frequently got in trouble during school (how long ago that was I'm not saying), and still do now, for day-dreaming instead of paying attention to whomever was speaking. It does make for shortening long car rides though. I tend to be verbose (although I'm working on that), and single-minded, which is good for the development of my story but a never-ending horror to my less literary-minded friends who have to sit through verbalizations of plot-lines and answer out-of-the-blue questions that leave them scratching their heads and wondering what is happening in *my* head.
I think I was eight when I tried to write my first novel. Thank god it was lost when the family computer crashed, or I imagine I would be cringing to read it now. An older student introduced me to fanfiction.net shortly afterwards, and suddenly my life was dominated by the website. And nothing's changed in the years since then. I started in Harry Potter (as many do, I imagine), and then kept jumping ship (my interests are, apparently, subject to change without much warning depending what book or movie etc. I have read or watched most recently ). I've read, and occasionally written, in a host of different fandoms. Not all of it has been or will be posted, but I have tried.
I've always done casual gaming, mainly in the form of strategy games (Empire Earth, Age of Mythology and Civilization IV, anyone?), but it was never a major part of my life. Until July 2010, when I was trapped in London without access to my normal computer and games (long long story which, if I recount it here, will only get my hackles up again). Then I was surfing Amazon to find something I hoped to play on the laptop I did have. I bought Dragon Age Origins, waiting anxiously for the five days it took to arrive, and started playing. I think I resurfaced thirty-six hours later for a quick nap before going back to the game. Promptly on the heels of that, I discovered the abundance of constantly updated Dragon Age fanfiction online, and I was hooked. I managed to resist the lure of writing for the fandom though, until a few months ago. The result of that has started being posted now.
